When we surveyed underrepresented founders and asked them what they most needed to succeed, we got three main answers:

• We need more funding;

• We need introductions to people who can get us more funding;

• We need more traction!

Now, there’s actually a lot to unpack here. But what stood out for us was a clear need to help founders get better traction, faster. We asked ourselves a question: “how can we empower more founders to get the ball rolling and build their businesses, of their own accord, while solving some of the biggest issues they identified?”

And our answer: a new programme, aimed at B2B founders, to help them get their first client.

We hope that by providing founders with the foundations and skills (and a mentor) to get them their first enterprise client - and getting them paid as a result - that we’ll be able to give them exactly what they need to solve their own biggest challenges and get the ball rolling with their start-up.

There is a lot of work to do to level the playing field for underrepresented founders. This is just one of many puzzle pieces, which we’re confident will create a sustainable impact on our participants by giving them more than just one-off support. By up-skilling our founders on this programme, and helping them generate some initial revenue for themselves, we want to empower them to create long-term change for their start-up, their customers, and themselves on their journey.

We’re bringing B2B founders who have made some traction together for an exclusive pilot to help them increase that traction and use it to get their first client, and as such, we’ve named this programme Traction Club.

Founders will be matched up with enterprise sales experts that will advise them on their specific sales needs. From industry experts to successful entrepreneurs, we will find the right person to support their business. And, these mentors will provide one to one support to the founders for three months after the 5-week sales training.

Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without our supporters for this programme. Partnering with Forward Partners and LocalGlobe, we’ve got some incredible industry leaders backing the curriculum of Traction Club, and we’re grateful that they align with our mission to support underrepresented founders enough to support our delivery of this pilot. Read more about them and our other supporters here. We’re excited to see where this new programme takes our participants and what we can learn together!

And, if you’re reading this before Saturday 28th May 2022 at 11:59 pm, then Traction Club is still open to applications! The programme will be starting on the 7th of June, so don’t miss out!
